The training activity of Turkish Halal Accreditation Agency’s (HAK) project titled “Developing Human Capital in OIC Countries for Technical Halal Auditing based on SMIIC Halal Certification System & Halal Quality Infrastructure” which is funded under 8th Project Call of COMCEC Project Funding was held on 6-8 September 2021 in HAK headquarters.

Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey’s relevant institutions related to halal quality infrastructure and COMCEC Coordination Office and SMIIC representatives physically and online participated in the “OIC/SMIIC Halal Quality Infrastructure Training”, which is the first of the two activities within the scope of the Project.

On the last day of the training, which covered the relevant OIC/SMIIC standards, a site visit was also conducted to the National Food Reference Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, and thus the stakeholders participating in the training were informed about the accredited laboratory practices.

The certificates of those who physically participated in the training were presented at the ceremony held on September 8, 2021.

The second event of the project, “International Conference on Globalization of Trust in Halal Certification”, will be held on October 6-7, 2021 via both physical and online participation. Pioneering experts in the field of halal quality infrastructure, both at home and abroad, will be speakers in this conference.
