A special panel titled “Mobilizing Economic and Social Development Dynamics: The Case of Syrian Arab Rebublic” was held on November 4, 2025, during the 41st Session of the COMCEC Ministerial Meeting. The panel addressed the revitalization of socio-economic life in the reconstruction process of Syria from the perspective of the public, private sector, international organizations and civil society.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet ASUTAY, Director of Durham Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance at Durham University; Mr. Salah Jelassi, Director of Operations for GCC, Yemen and South America at Islamic Development Bank, and Mr. Halit Acar, DEİK Business Councils General Assembly Member contributed to the discussions as panelists with the moderation of Dr. Mehmet Köse, Chairman of the Board at Africa Foundation.
