A special Panel titled “Reinforcing Family Institution through Value-Based Policies in Digital Era” was held on November 3, 2026, during the 42nd Session of the COMCEC Ministerial Meeting.
The panel featured H.E. Ms. Mahinur ÖZDEMİR GÖKTAŞ, Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, as the keynote speaker, alongside H.E. Ms. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC; H.E. Mr. Selçuk KOÇ, Director General of the COMCEC Coordination Office; and Prof. Dr. Hatice Ferhan ODABAŞI as speakers.
The eminent speakers elaborated on how to protect Family Institution and children from digital threats of the world from the perspective of values and more importantly Islamic values. Moreover, the findings from the research report commissioned by COMCEC Coordination Office titled “Digital Threats to the Family Institution as the Backbone of Development and Value-Based Solutions for Islamic Countries” was also shared with the participants.
