Within the framework of the project titled ““Reduction of Food Loss and Waste in the OIC Countries” being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, a five-day training program was conducted between 22-26 July, 2019 in İzmir, Turkey with the participation of Indonesia, Morocco, Palestine, Qatar and Tunisia.

During the training program officials and experts from the partner countries were trained on various issues such as food loss and waste concept, international organizations’ approaches to the issue, applications for reducing food loss and waste, food banking. Also, current situation in the partner countries on food loss and waste and best experiences on this issue were shared by the participants.
