24th Meeting of COMCEC Trade Working Group

The 24th Meeting of the COMCEC Trade Working Group (TWG) was held on 21 April 2025, in virtual-only format, with the theme “Developing/Improving Export Strategies in the OIC Member Countries” with the participation of the OIC Member Countries, International Institutions and Private Sector.

During the meeting, experiences on export strategies in the OIC Member Countries and the examples of good practices were shared and common challenges were addressed. The meeting also discussed how to further enhance efforts to develop or improve export strategies. On the other hand, the participants were also briefed on the first draft of the Policy Guide prepared in line with the theme of the meeting.

The 24th Meeting of the COMCEC Tourism Working Group (TWG) was held on April 21st, 2025 in a virtual-only format, with the theme “Improving the Quality and Sustainability of Heritage Tourism in OIC Countries” with the participation of the OIC Member Countries and International Institutions.

During the Meeting, the current status of cultural heritage tourism in the Islamic Countries, experiences, good practices and challenges encountered in the development and sustainability of heritage tourism in the Member Countries have been discussed. Besides, the participants have been informed on the first draft of the report prepared by the COMCEC Coordination Office on the subject and their observations have been taken.
